The Waldviertel Blond Cattle

 

History:   

The breed is a mixture of Celtic and Hungarian Grey cattle, later crossed with Franc Cattle and early forms of Carinthian Blond Cattle.

Special characteristics:  

Undemanding, fertile, old type breed with very good meat quality, very well- suited for the production of high quality beef in extensive husbandry systems.

Phenotype description:

Cattle are white to blond in colour, with a flesh-coloured muzzle. Horns and hooves are greyish-yellow.
